Shizu Design

 

Shizu Design comprise a mother-daughter duo of Karen Okino Butzbach and Shizu Okino. 

Using traditional Japanese basketry techniques, each piece is a fanciful, decorative piece that projects a sense of peacefulness and tranquility and invites quiet contemplation. The collaboration of found rocks and Japanese weaving technique results in a representation of a balance act of us humans and mother earth.
